The Circuit

The Jurby Motordrome is laid out on the runways and perimeter roads of the old RAF airfield. It's mostly flat and has plenty of run-off, which is why a lot of riders do their first races here.

We use two layouts:

  • GP circuit, clockwise
  • GP circuit, anticlockwise

The layout for each meeting is listed on the calendar.

Race Day

Gates open at 8:00am. Riders sign on and get their bikes through scrutineering first, then there's a riders' briefing before practice. Racing usually runs through the day and finishes around 5pm.

Weather

It can be windy with not much shelter, so bring a warm layer even in summer.
